NebulaPBX Requirements
What you need in order to use NebulaPBX…
1. High Speed Internet Service
We recommend Fiber, Cable, or DSL from any local internet provider.
You can also forward calls to your existing cellular phones, with no need for internet service at all. But you’ll still need Internet for initial setup and to make changes to your settings.
Digital calls do not use much bandwidth, only about 100kbps (0.1mbps) per live call.
2. Digital (IP) Phones or Softphones or a Cell Phone (for forwarding)
There are hundreds of phones and apps to choose from.
For IP phones, we like Yealink, but you can also use Aastra, Cisco, Digium, Grandstream, Panasonic, Polycom, and more. Any phone that supports the SIP protocol should work fine.
For apps, consider MicroSIP, Zoiper, Bria, DialPlate, CSIPSimple, or any app or device that supports the SIP protocol.
There are FREE and PAY apps available for Windows, Mac, Android, iPhone, and Linux.
3. Digital (VoIP) Telephone Service
You’ll need digital (voip) phone service from any SIP-based service such as CloneLine.
CloneLine offers a unique price structure that lets you share a single CloneLine plan with your entire organization. This is a perfect fit for NebulaPBX cloud systems.
Example, they have a small 2 line test plan for $4.99/mo. And they have a very popular 4 line 1000 minute plan for $14.99/mo. That’s a total service price, not “per line” or “per user”.
If you have a larger business, just pick a single plan that fits your maximum monthly call volume across ALL of your phones.
This is a much better way to buy phone service, compared to paying a separate charge for every one of your users and extensions.
